This fishery will test you, it is difficult to fish as it is a bare concrete rectangle and very exposed to seaward side (but the views are stunning!) So, if its windy and busy you will almost queue to cast as only one side is fishable.
I fished there in Sept, and it does get crowded as its next to a holiday camp and caravan park, 18 anglers there on a midweek.
That said one of my fishing companions caught a six pounder on a sinker with a fritz viva and I caught a five pounder fishing a nymph on a floater with 15 ft leader. Both fish were caught in the last half hour after four and a half hours without a touch!.
As I said, it can be hard to fish.

Iv'e fished graiglwyd pretty regular over the last year and yes it does get busy but if you get there early enough you'll be fine, it can be windy but can't say iv'e seen people sticking to one side. The fish are hard fighting and range in size from around two and a half pounds upto over eighteen pounds in weight. I blanked a few weeks ago for the first time in a long time and there's always a huge welcome from Huw (the owner) cheers, ian

It looks like a kid's fishing pond. I had to laugh when I looked at this thread. This I compare an indoor mini golf to the actual game.

Hi have a look on Google Earth and you will see what everyone is talking about it's halfway up a mountain side with spectacular views out to the Irish Sea. I fished it about 10 yrs ago and got 2 one of 6lb 10ozs. yes it fought that well I remember it to this day thought I'd lost it it came at me so fast my line went slack and when I re connected it took me all over the place, we had that one for Xmas eve dinner. Graiglwyd Aquarium would have been a more acurate name.

Honestly, how can you not catch fish when they are swimming around in an over-sized backyard pool. Where's the challenge? Too easy in my books!
