Default Tree ID please

Photo from Chactonbury hill last week
leaves were felty
12ft tall shrub/tree

any ideas what it might be?

Looks like Salicaceae to me, tha knows I have caught a few in the past.

Definitely a willow but probably grey willow or a hybrid as it has leaves which are longer than they are wide.

Mature female flowers.

Not seen this one before (or maybe flowers have been at the catkin stage on others I've seen).
