    No, not afraid, wary maybe, not many fish hang around when seals are hungry. Also had seals on the lower part of my local river, on the decent tides, they will follow the bass, mullet, seatrout & salmon into the system. After all, it's an easy meal in confined spaces for such a predator.

    Here's one that got photographed stuffing it's face with what's thought to be a salmon (?)

    There's a BBC News story today about a baby seal being found in someone's garden in Kent, 18 miles from the sea!
    seen this on sky yesterday its been nursed back to health and released

    the scary head made an apperance again today it scared the sh!te out of the son
    he was worm fishing and felt a bite so set the hook ,and started reeling in the trout
    then he felt a wallop for a second or two. he thought it was a big fish and played the trout in ,
    just before he unhooked the trout ,which at this stage was dangling mid air flopping about there was a ferocious splash at the end of the rod,yep it was theSCARY HEAD( seal) that lounged out of the water like a shark and stole his hooked trout,line and all ,he screamed with the fright snapped the line and made a hasty retreat out of the water LOL
    ps its 2 nil to the seals but different decades, maybe it was scary heads son also
