I will ask My Daughter in law, she is a Doctor in the states, and she dislikes them intensely, it may be what you say , but it can be inhaled via dried Faeces, I seem to think it's something like tricosoma, easker1

I was on a Birwatching trip to Florida.I took a detour to try to see some Manitee. It was in a Shut for the winter park on the coast. There were a few signs up saying Don't feed the Racoons. but the parkgoers had obviously been feeding them.So no parkgoers= starving Racoons. We were attacked by a whole squad/family of the quite large Racoons,I had to fend of a Few with the legs of my Tripod, whilst a couple of Americans jumped up onto a picnic table screaming Rabies Rabies. It was a bit of a shocker.

And if you guys thought foxes were bad at getting into rubbish bins wait until you have to deal with racoon! Those cute little hands can work latches quite well and in some neighbourhoods in the states folks have to keep the rubbish bins in locked boxes!
20 years ago we had Johnny Cash, Bob Hope and Steve Jobs. Now we have no Cash, no Hope and no Jobs. Please God, don't take Kevin Bacon.

i believe one lived in the whitehouse, originally it was bought for dinner but they deceided not to kill it ,instead they fed it
People in Germany are split into two parties: those who find racoons cute and feed them, and those who resort to killing them

Never heard of him, you know more about presidential history than the current president.
