Hi all

what do you all recommend when it comes to bass bags and keeping the fish fresh?

For as long as I can remember Ive used Chapman Bags but I need a replacement and the large bag is now £45 which seems a little much.

I need something that I can fold up really small and carry in the back pocket of my flyfishing vest as I dont take another bag out with me.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

thanks!

Two dish towels sewn into a bag is what i used to use for keeping fish fresh to me a mesh bag only holds fish it doesn't keep them fresh like the dampened dish towels.

Now I use bath towels my fish are all huge :joking:

I use the evaporation method for keeping fish cool and it seems to work pretty well.I am currently using Snowbee bass bags and seem to be fine but looking at the Chapmans I wonder if a better material and design for the evaporation method.I have tried The foil lined with ice packs which were not very sturdy and the lining went through in short order.I too will be interested to see what transpires.

The Chapman bags are brilliant at keeping the fish fresh, just seem a bit over priced now
