Hi all.

My wife and I were fortunate to have had a lovely holiday in Antigua, at Galley Bay Resort. We got back a couple of days ago.
The hotel has a lagoon on site, and has a lot of wildlife, including various birds.

The photos below were all taken using a standard Nikon D5300 and a Nikkor 300mm f/4 PF ED lens, mostly set at f/5.6. I used Manual with auto ISO, and a shutter speed of generally around 1/500. I had to add to expsoure compensation on the DSLR sometimes, as the best time of day was 06:00 to 08:00.

I hope you enjoy the images.

This is by far the rarest bird I found, with very few sightings on Antigua. It's currently not known if it's a small vagrant population, or a deliberate introduction of a few birds that has grown in population a little over the years, in a few isolated patches on the island.
