Thanks Jim,

I can see the gallery and watch the videos but can't load the shop pages :doh:
As I say, it works fine on the wife's much newer iPad so I've put one in the "basket" and I'd buy it at $23.50 but they want $26.50 for shipping so I won't.
Back to the drawing board!

More of a steel band as the frame which folds up quite small.

Just found the Handy Pak net here

That ships to the UK but comes in at £38 in total.
I like it but will probably go with Jims £16 find.

does in come with a pouch to keep the net in as can not see it on the page

Not to rain on anyone’s parade but I looked up the one review which was in French and although he praises the net he says the case is not fit for purpose so he keeps the net in his jacket pocket.

I will be interested to see how bad the pouch is,but luckily I have a pouch from the original Waterqueen net. if it's rubbish.(It would not be difficult to knock one up anyway)

I can tell you now what the pouch is like, as I have owned several of these nets before, and I am still using one at the moment.

They are made of plastic, with a loop to put a belt through, you also have a wee strap with a popper thing on it to clip the handle in place.

These pouches are not the best and are not made to last. I have had a couple in the past that have ripped at the side of the seams. The main problem is that the pouch is a bit too small/tight for the folded net. Having said that the W.Q nets that I have owned have travelled all over with me (some hundred outings a year) I suppose with a lesser usage they would last a lot longer.

The WQ landing net I have at the moment is housed in a neoprene pouch (looks a bit like a reel pouch) which came with my guideline easy fold net.

If you liked the net, I'm sure that a more substantial holder could be knocked up, as has been said previously.

I have a folding net with ghost netting and a leather pouch that cost considerably more that 16 quid and its still bloody awful.

Not least is the continual fear that the damn net will drop out in the water by getting caught on something and if you pull on the net the smoothness of coming out is dependent on the tension of the belt that the pouch is strapped onto.

I was a bit premature in answering your question.

I have now received 2 of these nets. They are no longer provided in the plastic pouches, but in a 'Camo' cloth material pouch.

They are pretty hopeless, as there is simply not enough room to fit the net into the opening without a great deal of effort - and that is when they are dry - When wet, I would imagine almost impossible!

My wife has made the opening larger and stitched the pouch accordingly.

It amazes me that tackle manufactures, don't seem to carry out even the basic checks to ensure that their products actually work!

The above comments would {imo} also apply to Greys Strata wading jackets.

Mine arrived with the neoprene camo pouch but due to work, hasn’t been used yet. Certainly a two handed job to put it back in.
Maybe a gunslinger type type holster with a thigh strap would help.
I’ll probably reduce the depth of the net on mine a bit as well. Less bulk to get back in again.
When moving about it will be much better than carrying a regular net.
