I managed to make it down to fish the River Teign yesterday on the stretch near to Fingle bridge utilising the west country passport token system.
I found the river crystal clear and extremely low with a bright hot day in store I wasnt expecting to much .
Thankfully I had a lovely day fishing downstream of Fingle bridge in the morning and working my way back up to the car I had 7 lovely browns with a nice one of 11ins as well. All taken on a parachute Adams.
The afternnon was spent working upstream of the bridge and again had a great afternoons dry fly fishing with the parachute Adams again taking all the fish .
I finished the day with 16 browns upto 12ins.
I have 5 tokens left to use up so now planning where to next, although this stretch is real nice and has the fish in it I found the inconsiderate dog walkers and people walking by constantly in certain bits really off putting .
Anyway a few pics as well hopefully if I ve managed to do this right!
Cheers Rich

It's a nice stretch but also one of the most popular with dog walkers as parking is easy. It's owned or leased by the upper teign fishing association, the stretch you chose was a good one as it's the only stretch they stock (lightly).
You could head up and lose a day up on the open moor- West or East Dart, wherever you head the rivers are on their bones, but still good sport to be had.

Glad you had a good day, i was teaching a guy at Kennick yesterday who i guided on the Teign today, we also had a few fish up to 12'', but the balloon caddis did the trick for us.

The dog walkers can be a real pain, i find most go upstream of Fingle, but to get away from them try above and below Clifford Bridge.

But don't rule out the upper stretches above the Mill End Hotel.

Cheers
