S, I dont know that particular rod mate but I have bopught a Scierra or two in the past and wasnt impressed so send them back. Action probably fine, but I didnt think the build quality was great ( rings, reel seat ) and seemed marginally heavier than other rods of same size. If you want a rod and dont want to spend too much, try Redington Classic Trout. I got one for Christmas. Not field tested yet but some very happy owners on the internet. Nice mid-tip action.

 

I have one of these i use for my sea trout fishing and find it a perfect rod for the job rod weight is 104g mines is a 9ft 6 weight :thumbs:
