It's not the concept of the thing itself that puts me off, it's actually a pretty sound functional idea, the problem is they fill that special place in fashion normally occupied by shell suits and Burberry hats, they do the fashion opposite of what the wearer intends, like leggings on an arse the size of a sofa or a track suit on someone that has never seen a track, they advertise the inappropriateness of the garment to the wearer, the stylistic equivalent of drawing attention to the one thing they are trying to disguise.
