I have this rod and often use it for dry fly, which it's very well suited for - it has a lovely smooth, forgiving action and feels light in the hand. The blank is slim as is the cork grip. I matched it with a Barrio Mallard DT4, just because I had a spare one knocking around. It cast that line nicely, especially on smaller overgrown rivers with limited casting room. Since then I've also used it with a generic WF3 Maxcatch line, one of the cheap ÂŁ4 ones.. and it cast that nicely too! It has become my most-used rod as it's so versatile and pleasant to us - it handles dry fly, wets, spiders and of course nymphs very well.

I've used mine for dry fly and preferred it with a 4wt Maxcatch Gold rather than a 3wt.
