Sorry nothing to offer but Snowbee do a classic brook rod 6ft #2 for about £45. And if you can find a s/h hardy classic 6ft don't hesitate. JB

You might already know about the fladen 7ft 3 weight? I got one from tacklebargains for about £25 a few months ago.

yes, thanks the fladen is on the reserves bench... i ve had a fair bit of fladen sea fishing tackle in the past and was not overwhelmed by it

 

the fladen fly rod is a diferrent beasty, i dont know whether they got lucky or just didnt follow the mould with the rest of the gear, but i know a few people with the fladen fly rods who love them and at the price you its not an expensive mistake if its not for you. also maybe check coastys recommendation, it came up recently in greyhoundgirls request for a similar rod.

The Greys GRXi is a cracking rod in the shorter lengths. The action is a bit softer than the Streamflex. I have the 7ft 6in 3/4 wt but I have heard good reports about the 7ft 2/3 wt and you might be able to pick up a bargain now that the new version is out. I also have the vision 3 zone 6ft 6 in 3wt which is also good but not everyone likes the cork and ring reel seat - this has been discontinued so you would be looking for one second hand.

Wychwood's are cracking little rods - and for peanuts. Nice plain cosmetics and colour, nice reel seat and the cork on them is first class.
